August 1, 2015 York Region BADASS Dash: Adventure/Obstacle race that will feature 30 unique, challenging, fun obstacles sprawled across a 7 km course located at the Town of Georgina's Recreation Outdoor Complex, The ROC. For more information and to register, please visit the BADASS Dash website.

August 3, 2015 2015 Pefferlaw Family Picnic: FREE Admission, Parking, and Prizes! Enjoy live entertainment, magic show, hot air balloon rides, refreshments, and more! August 6-9, 2015 Crystal Pangman's 3rd Annual Georgina Challenge: Professional local volunteer hairstylists will be at the Sutton Fair from 1 to 6 PM to cut qualifying donated hair (10" minimum) or bring your hair and/or pledge donations to the Georgina Challenge - Donation Booth. August 11, 2015 The Training Centre (GTTI) First Aid/CPR Level C & Defibrillator Training. This two day course will provide participants with the basics in first aid & CPR and defibrillator training. August 15, 2015 SPLASH Festival BEACH BASH: This free event is the year's most delightful opportunity to enjoy one of Lake Simcoe's very best beaches. Play on the beach, picnic, enjoy live music, and experience a wealth of fun water sports, art, and learning for kids of all ages. August 15, 2015 Painted Perch Festival: Jackson's Point Village Association BIA will be hosting their 4th Annual Painted Perch Festival in the Jackson's Point Parkette (Dalton Road and Lake Drive). It will be an afternoon and evening of fun and excitement for the whole family. Up for a challenge? Enter the Painted Perch Challenge and Butter Tart Challenge! Don't forget to vote on your favourite handcrafted perch! The kids can enjoy games, crafts, face painting, and live music featuring lots of local talent. There will also be an array of vendors, artisans, and some great food and drinks to enjoy. Time: 12 to 6 PM.

August 26, 2015 The Training Centre (GTTI) WHMIS/Ontario Worker Health & Safety: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is a comprehensive national system for safe management of hazardous chemicals which is legislated by both the Federal and Provincial government. The Occupational Health and Safety Act focuses on the health and safety rights and responsibilities of workers, supervisors, and employers. It also serves as a general introduction to workplace health and safety. To register call The Training Centre at 905-722-6300. Time: 9 AM to 2 PM. Cost: $25.

September 9, 2015 Golf Fore Hospice - Lake Simcoe Arms Golf Tournament: Enjoy 18 holes of golf (scramble) at The Briar's, golf cart, and dinner at Lake Simcoe Arms with a silent auction. September 12, 2015 Up the Maskinonge with a Paddle: Join members of the Maskinonge River Recovery Project for a guided non-motorized paddle tour of the Maskinonge River from 9 AM to 12 PM. Bring your canoe, kayak, rowboat or paddleboat and personal floatation device. Don't have a boat? No problem! The Georgina Dragon Boat Club will have a spot for you on theirs! Meet at the Boston Pizza - Keswick parking lot (253 Queensway South).
September 12, 2015 Lisa Brokop - The Patsy Cline Project: Lisa will transport the audience back to the hey-day of country music with her presentation of Patsy Cline classics. Accompanied by multi-media imagery, Lisa takes the audience on an incredible musical journey featuring some of Patsy Cline's most memorable songs. Cost: $21 +HST (seniors) & $23 +HST (adults). November 15, 2015 4th Annual One Stop Holiday Shop: Join GTTI for a one day holiday shopping event with a large variety of some of your favorite products. Time: 12 to 4 PM.
November 21, 2015 Festival of Lights: Enjoy the magic and splendour of the holiday season as we light up the Civic Centre grounds in this annual event. Take part in sing-alongs with Mayor & Council, a visit with Santa, and witness the unveiling of the lights. It's an event you won't want to miss!
