Online Garage Sale Application

Please fill in the following form to obtain a permit for holding a garage sale in the Town of Georgina. Alternatively, permits may be obtained at the Civic Centre, Peter Gzowski Library (Sutton), Keswick Library or the Pefferlaw Library.

Conditions for a Garage Sale:

  • No person shall conduct more than three (3) garage/yard sales at the same location in a calendar year;
  • Non-compliance of By-law 2002-0176(REG-1), or where a permit has been issued as a result of false or misleading statements or undertakings in the application, shall result in the permit being automatically revoked.
  • All garage sale signs must be removed within twenty-four (24) hours of the expiry of the Permit. Signs are not permitted on utility poles.
  • Items being sold must meet current safety standards issued by Health Canada. For a listing of items that should not be sold, please visit http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/pubs/cons/garage-eng.php.
