Baseline Road - Between Woodbine Avenue and McCowan Road in the Town of Georgina
The Regional Municipality of York works continuously to maintain the condition of our regional roads for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. York Region is making improvements to Baseline Road between Woodbine Avenue and McCowan Road in the Town of Georgina.
Construction is scheduled to begin early July and is expected to be completed in late September, 2016. As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.
The contractor, Coco Paving, will be maintaining access to residences and businesses within the Baseline Road construction limits. Baseline Road will remain open to traffic during the road construction, however lane restrictions between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. will be in place for the duration of the road work.
The project includes the following work:
- Removal of the top layers of the existing asphalt
- Repaving with new asphalt
- Culvert and catch basin repairs as needed
York Region will make every effort to minimize disruptions and thanks you for your patience and understanding. Please contact York Region if you observe any unsafe issues in and around the construction corridor.
