Have some fun this Family Day in Georgina. Many Town facilities will be open, offering indoor and outdoor activities for everyone on Monday, Feb. 17.
The ROC will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for tubing, snowboarding, skiing and tobogganing.
Enjoy public skating at the Georgina Ice Palace from 1 to 3 p.m., or Georgina Sutton Arena from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reminder that the Pefferlaw Ice Pad (PIP) is open for the season. Visit georgina.ca/skating for the schedule and more information.
Get swimming at the Georgina Leisure Pool. Various opportunities will be available throughout the day.
- Public swim 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m.
- Lane swim 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Parent and tot swim 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All other Town facilities, including the Civic Centre, Georgina Public Library and the Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre, will be closed Feb. 17, reopening on Feb. 18.
Waste collection information
There will be no waste collection Feb. 17. It will be one day later for the rest of the week. For example, if you normally put your garbage out on Monday, it will go out on Tuesday. Check the waste calendar or free Recycle Coach app for information about garbage, recycling and more.
