Stay up-to-date with all of the events happening around the Town of Georgina by checking the Events Calendar.

The Town hosts a variety of celebrations and events throughout the year, we call these Town Events. We also support a variety of events run by other organizations, these are called Town-Supported Events and identified with an asterisk (*).

Georgina Farmers' Market*

The Georgina Farmers’ Market features more than 30 local vendors offering a wide variety of local products including produce, meats, baked goods and handmade products.

This is a Town-supported event and is managed by the Georgina Farmers' Market.

Volunteer Award of Merit

Georgina’s Volunteer Award of Merit recognizes individuals, teams and groups who are contributing to the betterment of the local community and Georgina as a whole.

Nomination process starts in February and runs until the end of March.

Ceremony happens in late May.

Georgina Spring Fling Race*

All event courses follow Lake Drive and you will run along the beautiful shores of Lake Simcoe! This course is FAST and FLAT. The community of Georgina has embraced our event and you will have lots of spectator support along the way including a couple of dedicated cheering stations as well as music from HITS 105.5 FM along the course to keep your energy and motivation up!

Military Day*

Browse war memorablilia displays, restored WW2 trucks and equipment, and experience reenactments from 1812 to WW2.

Pride Festival*

A two-day event of inclusive, accessible, intersectional and affirming queer-led programs, events and activism in Georgina.

This is a Town-supported event hosted by Georgina Pride

Music in the Streets*

Music In the Streets is a free, public event, showcasing live music in the Georgina community. 10-12 performance areas will provide music from students, instructors and musicians from the community. Enjoy the music while you browse the Pioneer Village. An all-day BBQ is available which will support a local charity.

Shake Your Buoy

This is a free day long music event on a sandbar of Lake Simcoe, headlined by Z103.5’s very own DJs Manzone & Strong. The event will feature live DJ performances happening on a hi fidelity sound system.

Purple Turtle Arts Festival*

A free family event featuring games, inflatables, educational displays, contests and an antique car show.

Painted Perch*

Sutton Fair and Horse Show*

The Sutton Fair and Horse Show is a four-day family event hosting live music, truck and tractor pulls, demo derbies, horse and livestock shows, kids games, a full midway and beer tent.

Georgina Mayor's Charity Motorcycle Ride and Poker Run

Event date Sat, Sep 10 2022, 9am - 3pm

Join us for the fifth annual Mayor’s Motorcycle Ride and Poker Run on Saturday, Sept. 10 benefitting the Sutton Legion Branch 356.

Starts: Georgina Civic Centre, 26557 Civic Centre Rd., Keswick

Ends: Sutton Legion, 21 East St., Sutton

Registration: 9 a.m. | Kickstands up: 10:30 a.m.

Four-hour Scenic Route (with stops)

The event starts at the Civic Centre with coffee and muffins, and ends at the Sutton Legion approximately four hours later with a BBQ (choice of steak, chicken or vegetarian).

Georgina Marathon and Half-Marathon*

Run along the south shore of Lake Simcoe through the quiet communities of Georgina on this flat, fast and scenic Half Marathon and Boston Qualifier Marathon course.

Both the 1/2 marathon and full marathon courses are measured and Athletics Canada Certified - which means they are accurate and are qualifiers for things such as the New York and Boston Marathon's.

You will be running from De La Salle Park, along Lake Drive North on an out and back along a quiet road with lots of shade and views of stunning properties.

Georgina Studio Tour*

For the last quarter century, in Georgina, an ever evolving group of dedicated artists has worked together to show their art to the public.

This two-day self-guided tour is your opportunity to visit homes and studios, that for the rest of the year, are available by appointment only.

Chippewas of Georgina Island Pow Wow*

Experience a traditional POW WOW and a day at the shores of Lake Simcoe. Discover drumming, dancing, hoop dance demonstrations and First Nations owned and operated food and craft vendors at The Sibbald Point Provincial Park.

Live Laugh Love Country Music Festival*

The Live Laugh Love Country Music Festival is taking over the Briars Resort and Spa on Lake Simcoe in Georgina. 


The three-day exclusive country music festival will feature 21 Canadian country greats.

Family Fright Fiesta

Join us as we bring the Pioneer Village to life in the spirit of the Halloween season. There are plenty of frightful family activities. This annual event will feature spooky scenes, ghoulish activities, eerie Pioneer Village walks, pick-a-pumpkin patch, live entertainment and haunting performances.

One Dark Night

The Town of Geogina welcomes you back to the Georgina Pioneer Village for an evening of creepy campfire stories and tales from the dark side of Georgina’s history. Pack your courage and cozy up to the fire as we share with you the shocking and spine-tingling history that has haunted Georgina for centuries. The Georgina Paranormal Society, along with the Town of Georgina - Georgina Pioneer Village and Archives Team will share tales of thrilling adventures, ghostly encounters and evil deeds that have all taken place in Georgina. Be sure to bring your flashlight; you’re not going to want to walk in the dark after this!

ROC'n New Year's Eve Bash

Enjoy activities, live entertainment, crafty workstations, face painting and a family friendly countdown with a hot chocolate toast.


Come out and experience Georgina’s annual SnoFest with lots of free wintry activities for all ages.

On select Saturdays, different programming will be offered at locations throughout Georgina including the Snofest Skating party, Carboard Tobaggan Day and Snow Globe Dance Party.
