Join the Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre for a PAW-some day of fun, furry friends and fantastic family activities on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors to the open house will enjoy:
- Meet and greets with adorable pets looking for their forever homes.
- A behind-the-scenes tour of the shelter and meet the team.
- Watch exciting training demos with shelter dogs.
- Visit our Animal Services Team and explore an officer's vehicle.
- Donation barbecue hosted by Georgina bylaw officers.
- Learn about pet nutrition from Royal Canin.
- Kids activities, including adopting a stuffie.
- Silent auction and more.
The shelter will also collect donations of gently used or new items for the "Mew to You" sale or silent auction table. If you would like to contribute, you can do so at the shelter during business hours.
The shelter will be collecting non-perishable food items for people and pets at the open house to support the Georgina Community Food Pantry.
