The Town of Georgina partnered with DocuPet and has been providing an enhanced and convenient way for Georgina Residents to purchase their pet’s licence.

In addition to your pet’s official licence, DocuPet also provides:

  • Easy checkout option to donate to the Georgina Animal Shelter
  • Docupet’s Rewards Program

Purchase or renew your pet’s licence

You can purchase or renew your pet’s licence online and learn more about their Lost Pet System and DocuPet’s Rewards Program and The Safe & Happy Fund that are included with your pet licence.

Fees and fines

Licences are required for all dogs living in Georgina. Licences must be renewed every year prior to the expiration date. 

Fees

  • Dog - Altered (proof reuqired) - $25
  • Dog - Unaltered - $40
  • Service Dog - No fee
  • Transfer licence (new resident) - $5
  • Replacement tag - $5

Please note that Georgina's licensing program operates on a 365-day cycle. This means that all licences expire the following year on the date they were purchased.

In order to receive the discounted altered rate, you will need to provide proof that your pet has been spayed or neutered. During the licensing process you are required to upload a legible digital file of the certificate. If you cannot locate your certificate, please contact your vet for assistance.

Fines

Failure to present a valid licence will result in a fine of $125.
