“Today marks another major milestone in bringing enhanced healthcare services closer to home for Georgina residents. With the Advanced Care Centre planned for the southwest corner of Woodbine Avenue and Old Homestead Road, we are seeing our community’s vision take shape.
This progress reflects the commitment and collaboration of the Town of Georgina, Southlake Health, the Northern York South Simcoe Ontario Health Team and Treasure Hill. I want to particularly acknowledge Treasure Hill for stepping forward as a partner in this transformative project. Their investment demonstrates confidence in Georgina’s future and a commitment to helping deliver a facility that will benefit our community for generations to come.
Our partnerships are already delivering results, including expanded access to primary care, mental health supports, community wellness initiatives and Southlake’s Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. The Advanced Care Centre will build on this progress, expanding access to urgent care, specialized services and other health and wellness programs in Georgina.
For residents, this will mean fewer trips outside our community to access care.
This announcement demonstrates what can happen when strong partnerships, shared ambition and a commitment to our residents come together. There is still work ahead, but this is a significant step forward for Georgina and an investment in the health and well-being of our community for generations to come.”
