The Town hosts a variety of celebrations and events throughout the year, these are called Town Events. The Town also support a variety of events run by other organizations, these are called Town-Supported Events and identified with an asterisk (*).

Georgina Fresh Food Market

Every other Wednesday 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Drop by and enjoy our affordable fresh fruit and vegetable market. The market includes beautiful produce, veggie tastings and more. This space is open to all and designed to make it easier to access fresh produce.

Georgina Farmers' Market*

The Georgina Farmers’ Market features more than 30 local vendors offering a wide variety of local products, including produce, meats, baked goods and handmade products.

Purple Turtle Arts Festival*

Come see amazing paintings, sculptures, photography, pottery and woodcraft, to name only a few of the incredible mediums that will be featured. More than 35 artisans from Ontario, including local artists, will be selected. Stroll around the lush meadow and shop with our vendors, keeping in mind holidays, birthdays, weddings and other special occasions. Our artists have art for you.

Beach Bash

Join us at De La Salle Beach for games, a silent auction and lots of summer fun.

Sutton Duck Races*

A fun day for the entire family. Enjoy kids games, vendors, indigenous art and music, food booths and the rubber duck races on the Black River.

Pan-African Flag Festival

Celebrate diversity and unity at the Georgina Pan-African Flag Festival: Pan African Pulse. Join us at the ROC on Aug. 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to celebrate Emancipation Day and a more inclusive Georgina.

A free family event featuring games, inflatables, educational displays, contests and an antique car show.

Sutton Fair and Horse Show*

The Sutton Fair and Horse Show is a four-day family event hosting live music, truck and tractor pulls, demo derbies, horse and livestock shows, kids games, a full midway and beer tent.

The Sutton Fair and Horse Show will be Aug. 8-11, 2024

ClearWater Farm summer events*

Get outside and explore nature. Shop a variety of local vendors, listen to live music and pick up farm-fresh food. Follow a self-guided tour and have the whole family work together with art in nature and yoga and wellness programs.

Starlight Cinema Night

Join us under the stars this summer for a free movie!  Starlight Cinema Night is back this summer and bigger than ever with three dates at locations throughout Georgina.

Bring your own comfy lawn chairs and/or blankets and enjoy a movie in the great outdoors!

Field to Table

Since 2018, the Town of Georgina has celebrated more than 200 years of agriculture by showcasing local farms that sell directly to consumers in late summer. 

Join us again this year, along with some of our farmers and their local partners, on Aug. 17 for the seventh annual Field to Table Farm Tour event. 

Each stop on this self-guided tour offers unique experiences where you can learn about farming, explore the farms and taste food made with fresh products.

Join the Town of Georgina's Mayor's Motorcycle Ride and Poker Run.

Georgina Marathon and Half-Marathon*

Event date Sunday, Sep. 8, 2024, 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Run along the south shore of Lake Simcoe through the quiet communities of Georgina on this flat, fast and scenic Half Marathon and Boston Qualifier Marathon course.

The 1/2 marathon and full marathon courses are measured and Athletics Canada Certified - which means they are accurate and qualify for things such as the New York and Boston Marathons.

Participants run from De La Salle Park, along Lake Drive North on an out-and-back along a quiet road with lots of shade and views of stunning properties.

Club 55 Open House

Club 55 Keswick is Georgina’s older adult active programming centre.

Members have access to special events, lunches, outings, programs and leagues that will not only keep you physically and mentally active, but provides a space where adults 55 years or older can come together to relax, socialize, meet new friends and have fun! 

Join us at the open house and learn about membership, program, league and special event information from our Club 55 – Keswick board of directors, program convenors and recreation staff members while mingling, enjoying light refreshments and club activities such as table tennis, billiards and carpet bowling.

Georgina Studio Tour*

For the last quarter century, in Georgina, an ever-evolving group of dedicated artists has worked together to show their art to the public.

Chippewas of Georgina Island Pow Wow*

Experience a traditional Pow wow and a day at the shores of Lake Simcoe. Discover drumming, dancing, hoop dance demonstrations and First Nations-owned and operated food and craft vendors.

One Dark Night

Get ready to hit the toboggan hill at the ROC 

Spend the day with your friends and family on the toboggan hill.

Use your imagination and build the ultimate toboggan out of cardboard, then register and race it.

Georgina Spring Fling Race*

The Spring Fling Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and 5km course runs along the shores of Lake Simcoe. The course is fast, flat and scenic, with lots of shade and views of stunning properties. Come and run your personal best or come and enjoy running a route that makes you feel like you’re running down south along the ocean’s edge without actually being there. The marathon is a certified Boston qualifier course. Learn more and register.
