Stephen Leacock Theatre celebrates 40 years with exciting season

The Stephen Leacock Theatre of Performing Arts is launching its milestone 40th season, marking four decades of live entertainment in Georgina. This special season features a dynamic lineup of music, comedy, family-friendly fun, and a few surprises to honour the theatre’s legacy and future.

Tickets are on sale now for the 2025–2026 season that includes:

  • Chantal Kreviazuk (Oct. 9, 2025) – An evening with one of Canada’s most beloved and Juno Award-winning singer-songwriters.
  • James Barker Band (Nov. 7, 2025) – Chart-topping country energy from this award-winning Canadian group. This show is sold out.
  • Colin James Trio (Dec. 3, 2025) – A blues-rock legend delivering soul-stirring performances with his powerhouse trio.
  • 40th Anniversary Celebration featuring ENCORE Choir (Dec. 7, 2025) – A special afternoon celebrating four decades of theatre magic, followed by a reception.
  • The Next Generation Leahy (Dec. 13, 2025) – Celtic-inspired family talent combining tradition and innovation.
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas – Live performance (Dec. 18, 2025) – A heartwarming holiday classic brought to life with live music and storytelling.
  • Yuk Yuks Comedy Night (Jan. 17, 2026) – A night of stand-up from some of Canada’s top comedians.
  • Doktor Kaboom! (March 1, 2026) – A hilariously explosive science-themed performance for the whole family.
  • The Barra MacNeils (March 5, 2026) – A joyful celebration of East Coast and Celtic music, back by popular demand.
  • Classic Albums Live: Pink Floyd – The Wall (March 21, 2026) – The iconic album performed live, note for note, cut for cut.
  • Dino Light – America’s Got Talent – Lightwire Theatre – a glow in the dark adventure for all ages – (April 10, 2026) – A visually stunning glow-in-the-dark adventure perfect for all ages.

About the Stephen Leacock Theatre
Named after one of the English-speaking world's best-known humorists, the Stephen Leacock Theatre opened in 1985. Famous for its up close and personal ambience, the 295-seat theatre presents a varied schedule of local, national and international entertainment. In the past it has featured David Wilcox, Serena Ryder, Rita MacNeil, Jeff Healey, Jully Black and the Jim Cuddy Band.
