School is out and summer is officially underway in Georgina. To keep your family busy, there are plenty of activities and events for the entire family to enjoy.
Lake Drive Multi-Use Pathway
Exciting changes for Lake Drive this summer. As of Thursday, June 26, the seasonal Multi-Use Pathway (MUP) is officially open. Residents and visitors can use the multi-use pathway on Lake Drive East from Civic Centre Road to South Drive. Vehicles will travel one-way eastbound along this length of Lake Drive East. During this time westbound drivers can detour using Metro Road. The MUP will be seasonal and in place until Friday, Oct. 3. Canada Day celebrations at the ROC and Georgina Village Museum
Get ready to party at the ROC and Georgina Village Museum on Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., ending with a fireworks finale. It will be a fun day full of exciting festivities for the whole family. Enjoy live entertainment, children’s activities, inflatables, food and more. The opening ceremonies take place at the main stage at 2 p.m. Avoid parking delays and take advantage of complimentary shuttle buses to and from the ROC all day long. Have fun at the splash pads
Cool off with the kids at one of the Town’s four splash pad locations at the ROC, Constable Garrett Styles Park, Whipper Watson Park and Julie Munro Park. All are now open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. until the end of the summer. Find out more at georgina.ca/SplashPads.
Summer camps and programs

Summer at the ROC
The ROC is York Region’s adventure headquarters. Explore the bike trails, high and low ropes course, rock climbing wall, zipline, volleyball courts, splash pad and more. With camps, programs and drop-in sessions happening all season, find your adventure at georginaroc.ca.
Health and wellness education series
In partnership with the Town of Georgina, the Northern York South Simcoe Ontario Health Team is running a Health and Wellness Education Series throughout the community. Learn about stroke prevention at the Link on Wednesday, July 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. For dates, times and locations of future sessions, visit nyssoht.ca/educationsessions.
Beach Bash
Make a splash at Beach Bash! Join us at De La Salle Beach on Friday, July 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a fun day with lots of activities to support water safety and drowning prevention. The Lifesaving Society designates the third week in July as National Drowning Prevention Week. This year’s event will also feature the first-ever Bump, Set, Splash Volleyball Tournament where all proceeds will benefit the Lifesaving Society. Pre-registration is needed for this event. Teams of four to six players can register in person or over the phone. Cost is $45 per team.
Curbside Giveaway
The next Curbside Giveaway Day is Saturday, July 26. Put your unwanted items out at the curb from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for someone else to take free of charge. Unclaimed items must be removed by 5 p.m.
