Temporary traffic signals installed at Black River Road and Queen Street

As a result of the construction on High Street, and the impacts from rerouting traffic through detour routes, the Town is implementing temporary traffic signals at Black River Road and Queen Street. This improvement to the overall traffic management plan will maintain better traffic flow for all, while eliminating long queues for motorists exiting from Queen Street. The temporary signals are planned to be operational on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Town staff, project partners and stakeholders continue to monitor conditions and make adjustments as necessary.

Additional paid-duty coverage will be provided during the Sutton Fair and Horse Show during the late afternoons into the late evenings on Aug. 6, 7 and 8 to support traffic leaving the evening events.
