Town Council has proclaimed Sunday, July 27th as Terry Fox Day throughout the Town of Georgina together with the raising of the Terry Fox Flag at the Georgina Civic Centre. Terry Fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian and cancer research activist who embarked on a cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research.
