Town Council has proclaimed Tuesday, July 28, 2026 as Terry Fox Day throughout the Town of Georgina in honour of Terry Fox and his 1980 Marathon of Hope, 5,373 kilometres from St. John's, Newfoundland, to Thunder Bay, and his legacy for cancer research fundraising.
