There’s a lot happening in Georgina in June. From the Father’s Day swim and summer program registration to activities for Recreation, Parks and Seniors Month, and Curbside Giveaway, there is something for every member of the family to enjoy.
Opening day at Georgina Village Museum
Join us at Georgina Village Museum for opening day on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Step into the past with hands-on exhibits, fascinating artifacts and timeless tales of Georgina’s roots. Explore charming historic buildings and connect with the remarkable people and stories that built the town. Then stay for a full day of old-fashioned fun, featuring live music, interactive activities, heritage demonstrations, nostalgic treats and more.
June is Recreation, Parks and Seniors month
Participate in a different recreation activity each day during Recreation, Parks and Seniors Month. Choose an activity that fits your interests or try something new. From Pickleball and Pilates to swimming and workshops, there are activities and programs for everyone.
Celebrate Seniors Month at one of three seniors barbecue events in Keswick, Sutton and Pefferlaw. The first one takes place June 5 at Club 55 Keswick. Guests can enjoy an indoor/outdoor event featuring a silent auction, barbecue lunch prepared by Town Council and staff, and live music. The celebrations continue June 25 in Sutton and June 30 in Pefferlaw, where attendees can enjoy classic barbecue fare, including sausages, hamburgers, salads and cake, Tickets are required for all events and can be purchased in advance, with details available through local Club 55 locations and the Town of Georgina.
The ROC – Challenge Course, Vertical Playground, Rock Climbing and Zip Line
Complete with both high and low ropes challenge courses, vertical playground, rock climbing wall and zipline, the ROC takes fun to new heights. Suitable for ages six years and up (must be 10 years or older to access high ropes course and zipline). Visit georginaroc.ca to reserve a spot for drop-in activities.
Summer program registration
It’s time to plan your summer. Registration for residents for summer programs opens June 2 at 8:30 a.m. Residents can sign up for everything from aquatics and beach swim lessons to older adult programs and workshops. Registration for non-residents opens on June 9. Spaces are also still available for summer camps.
Pollinator Power – Learn, plant and protect
Enjoy an engaging and inspiring pollinator event, Pollinator Power – Learn, plant and protect, featuring keynote speaker Annika Wilcox from Wildlife Preservation Canada, who will share valuable insights on pollinator conservation and biodiversity. This free event, which takes place at the ROC chalet on Saturday, June 20, at 9 a.m., includes educational installments designed to deepen your understanding of the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystems.
Father’s Day Swim
Join us for the Father’s Day Swim. Bring your dad and he swims free with a paid admission at the Georgina Leisure Pool on Sunday, June 21 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or the Multi-Use Recreation Complex on Sunday, June 21 from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Registration is not required.
Curbside Giveaway
The next Curbside Giveaway Day is on Saturday, June 27. Put unwanted items out at the curb from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for other residents to take free of charge. Unclaimed items must be removed by 5 p.m.
Canada Day celebrations at the ROC
Get ready to party at the ROC on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1. This exciting annual event gets underway at 2 p.m. Expect fun for the whole family including live entertainment, children’s activities, inflatables, food and fireworks. For more information, visit georgina.ca/CanadaDay.
