The Town of Georgina is inviting residents to get involved in the 2027 budget process. New this year is the budget engagement platform and the Community Priorities Challenge which provides residents an opportunity to distribute a fictional $100 throughout municipal services based on what matters most to them. This interactive tool allows residents to identify the programs, infrastructure and services they value the most, to inform future planning and decision making.
Each year, Georgina approves a budget that guides how tax dollars are invested to support the community. Feedback will help shape funding priorities for the programs, services and infrastructure that residents rely on every day, from road repairs and community safety to snow clearing and recreation programs.
The Town is inviting residents to get involved in the budget process and provide feedback:
- Visit georgina.ca/Budget2027 to take the online survey. It will be open from Aug. 11 to Oct. 3. Tell us how your tax dollars should be invested by completing the survey and be entered to win a $100 Visa gift card. The contest is open to Georgina residents and business owners who are 18 years of age or older. Town staff are not eligible.
- Hard copies of the budget survey will be available at the Civic Centre, Georgina Public Library, the Multi-Use Recreation Complex and the Link.
- A public information session will be held on Nov. 3, 2026 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre.
