Community Open House
Come out to the Community Open House on Thursday, Oct. 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Multi-Use Recreation Complex. Meet Town staff, learn about local programs, services and job opportunities. Get a sneak peek at exciting new projects and get an up-close look at some cool fleet vehicles, from garbage trucks to fire rescue boats. At 5:30 p.m., see the unveiling of a brand-new commissioned art piece that will hang above the MURC fireplace. Be among the first to view this stunning addition and meet the talented artist behind the work.
Animal Services Open House
Enjoy a fun-filled day at the Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre’s Adoption Open House on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come meet your potential new best friend and enjoy a variety of activities for the whole family including shelter tours, a barbecue, silent auction and more. Visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable pet or human food item to help support the local food bank and pet pantry.
Georgina Senior Games
Celebrate three decades of fun, fitness and friendship. The 2025 Georgina Senior Games mark the 30th anniversary of this beloved tradition. Open to Georgina residents aged 55 and older, the games continue until Oct. 24. Visit georgina.ca/SeniorGames to register and learn more.
Halloween-themed workshops at Georgina Village Museum
Check out the fun Halloween-themed workshops at Georgina Village Museum throughout October. There is spooky thrifted paint night (paint overtop thrifted paintings to transform a boring old picture into a spooktacular creation), spooky apothecary décor and a Halloween children’s craft. Family Fright
Join us on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Georgina Village Museum for the annual Family Fright event. Celebrate Halloween and enjoy spine-chilling stories and spooktacular activities. Dress in your scariest costume, enjoy live performances and games and indulge in devilishly delicious treats. A bewitching experience for the whole family.

There is pumpkin fun where kids can get hands on with pumpkin carving, enchanted stillness – meditation, magic and movement workshop, and ghosts and goodies where kids will enjoy making a creative Halloween craft. Halloween Pool Haunt
Get frightfully soaked at the Halloween Pool Haunt at the Georgina Leisure Pool on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. or, at the Multi-Use Recreation Complex on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. Enjoy enchanting games, ghoulish giveaways and hocus pocus. It’s spook-tacular fun for the whole family.
Halloween youth party at the MURC
Come out and celebrate everything spooky this season at the Halloween youth party the Multi-Use Recreation Complex on Friday, Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy a jam-packed evening full of Halloween-themed activities and programs including a Halloween movie, costume contest, pumpkin fun, sports, a public swim, Halloween-themed creations in the Maker Space, a themed yoga class, games and more. Register in advance to secure a spot for yoga and swimming. For ages 11 to 17. This is a free event. Monetary and donations to the Georgina Food Pantry are welcome.
Last Curbside Giveaway of 2025
Saturday, Oct. 25, is the final Curbside Giveaway Day this year. Put unwanted items out at the curb for others to take free of charge between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. All unclaimed items must be removed by 5 p.m.
Two Dark Nights
Join us for Two Dark Nights, a guided ghost walk with the Georgina Paranormal Society around Georgina Village Museum on Friday, Oct. 24 and Monday, Oct. 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Using state-of-the-art ghost-hunting equipment, be introduced to ghostly history about some of the encounters experienced on-site. Four sessions are available over two nights. Space is limited. Pre-registration required. 18+.
Stephen Leacock Theatre of Performing Arts
Tickets for the Stephen Leacock Theatre of Performing Arts 2025/2026 40th anniversary season are on sale. The opening performance, on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., is JUNO Award–winning singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk.
