Fridge Hours of Operation: Donations and food access will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Anyone can contribute to the fridge 24/7, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility. The Georgina Community Food Pantry (along with staff and volunteers) plays a crucial role in the management of the fridge, overseeing sign-ups, volunteer management, and coordinating food donations.

Drop-in services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in York Region
York Region’s drop-in program provides vital services and support in a safe and welcoming environment for individuals aged 16 and older who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Services include:
- Meals (lunch, snacks, coffee, tea and other beverages)
- Personal care services (washrooms, showers and personal care items)
- Clothing
- Primary care and mental health services
- Employment and income support
- Housing assistance

York Region has funding available to arrange transportation for residents accessing the drop-in program at the Link.
- If a resident is at the Link, Inn from the Cold will arrange transportation as needed.
- If someone calls the York Region Emergency Housing Central Intake Line, transportation will be arranged through the Salvation Army.

Translation support
York Region Transit (YRT) offers translation and interpretation services for residents whose first language is not English. To book an On-Request trip, call 1-866-744-1119 during service hours and indicate your preferred language. The answering agent will connect with an interpreter, who will then assist with the booking. For those without access to a mobile device, trips can be booked in advance by calling the same number before leaving a location.
