The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority advises that northern areas of the watershed are forecast to receive up to 50mm of precipitation beginning this afternoon and continuing through the evening.
Forecast rainfall amounts mixed with dry soils in the watershed may result in excess runoff, resulting in increasing water levels and flows in area rivers and streams, creating potentially hazardous conditions. The combination of wet, slippery and unstable banks could create hazardous conditions close to any river, stream or other water bodies. Children should be warned to stay away from all watercourses.
This Watershed Conditions Statement will be in effect through Monday, Aug. 11, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
