Privately owned, the land is rented out to agri-businesses and growers who work together with a mutual goal in mind—to grow/raise healthy and sustainable food without the use of chemicals.

At this location, visitors can view the many plots of vegetable gardens, sheep and chickens. On the back wall of the barn is a beautiful display of antique farming equipment. Be sure to check it out and take an Insta-worthy picture.

You will have the opportunity to purchase fresh produce as well as some freshly baked treats from Teresa of Sunny Baking Co

After the event, you can return on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the growing and harvest season.

This year, Georgina is honoured to be recognized as the 85th Bee City by Bee City Canada. This prestigious designation highlights the community's dedication to protecting and supporting pollinators, vital contributors to the ecosystem and food supply. To celebrate this achievement we asked our farmers:  "Why are pollinators important to you?"

If you like to eat... thank a pollinator! They are an integral part of the food-growing process. They also remind us of the interconnection between all living things, and that even the smallest of creatures- the humble little bee for example- has just as important a role to play in this dance of life as the great oak tree that gives us oxygen to breathe. - Zandra Zalucky, Elmgrove Organic Collective

Hiveshare sweetens the tour up with natural honey products. The agri-business will be joining Cloverhill Flowers on Old Homestead Road in Keswick in the flower field to buzz about all things honey. Hiveshare’s honey products can be ordered online or found locally at the Georgina Farmers’ Market on Sundays and at multiple retail businesses throughout Georgina.

The owner, Chris Campbell, partners with local businesses such as Turkey Shoot Brewing and Elpida Cafe and Roastery to offer some unique tasting products, which he will have onsite for purchase. You can also enjoy his honey at MESSHALL Eatery, where they use his garlic-infused honey to dress their spare ribs. Or, you can try their “vegan Hiveshare hot honey" dish, a no-cheese flatbread with a red sauce base topped with a variety of vegetables and drizzled with hot honey.

Chris is happy to answer any bee-related questions you have. At Field to Table, Hiveshare will be bringing an observation hive so that you can get a closer look into the inner workings of a beehive.

This prestigious designation highlights the community's dedication to protecting and supporting pollinators, vital contributors to the ecosystem and food supply. To celebrate this achievement we asked our farmers:  "Why are pollinators important to you?"

One out of every three bites of our food, including fruits, vegetables, chocolate, coffee, nuts, and spices, is created with the help of pollinators. In addition to the food that we eat, pollinators help to support healthy ecosystems that clean the air, stabilize soils, protect from severe weather, and support other wildlife. - Chris Campbell, Hiveshare
