The Town of Georgina has several registered officiants ready to help you take that leap into marriage.
We offer onsite wedding ceremonies at the Town of Georgina Civic Centre, 26557 Civic Centre Road, Keswick, Ontario, L4P 3G1, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Are you planning a destination wedding?
We commonly marry couples who are planning their wedding outside of Ontario. You can get legally married prior to your departure in a civil ceremony to ensure your paperwork and marriage information are filed within Ontario. This way, the stress is off, knowing everything will be taken care of back home, and you can enjoy your wedding getaway.
Marriage ceremony requirements
- You must have a Marriage Licence prior to your scheduled ceremony.
Ceremony options
We offer two choices of ceremony script:
Witnesses
Two witnesses are required for you to become legally married. These witnesses must be able to understand and appreciate what is taking place and be able to give evidence of such at a later date, if required. If you are unable to provide your own witnesses, we are happy to provide witness for you for a nominal fee.
Fees
- Onsite wedding ceremony: $200+HST
- Located at the Town of Georgina Civic Centre at 26557 Civic Centre Road, Keswick, Ontario, L4P 3G1, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Witnesses: $25+HST per witness
The Licensing Coordinator will be happy to assist you in making a payment through Service Georgina at the time of booking. Payment can be made via credit card (VISA or MasterCard) in-person or over the phone, debit, certified cheque or money order, made payable to the Town of Georgina. All fees are subject to H.S.T.
Interpreter
Applicants must provide an interpreter if they do not speak and/or understand English, or require a Sign Language Interpreter. The interpreter must present valid government-issued photo ID in its original form at the time of the Ceremony booking. The interpreter cannot be one of the witnesses.
Accessibility
The Town of Georgina Civic Centre, including the Council Chambers, is wheelchair accessible. Accessible parking is available at the Main Entrance.
