Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Projects

The Town of Georgina manages the operation, maintenance and repair of the Keswick and Sutton Water Distribution System and Wastewater Collection System. This includes water mains, valves, hydrants, water and wastewater pumping stations and lateral connections. These systems service the residents and businesses within Georgina. The Water and Wastewater Stormwater Projects include the improvement and maintenance of these systems.

Georgina Water Treatment Plant

York Region is working at the Georgina Water Treatment Plant, in the Town of Georgina. Including rehabilitation and modification of the water treatment plant and in-water geotechnical investigation in Lake Simcoe.

Keswick Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades and New Sanitary Forcemain Construction

York Region is upgrading the Keswick Sewage Pumping Station. As part of the upgrades, two new sanitary forcemains are being built, connecting the Keswick Sewage Pumping Station to the Keswick Water Resource Recovery Facility.

Sutton Water Resource Recovery Facility Upgrades

York Region will be improving the Sutton Water Resource Recovery Facility, located at 5741 Black River Road in Sutton. From August 2020 to winter 2022, crews will be building a new tank, constructing an extension to the sanitary forcemain and upgrading equipment.
