In 2026, the Town commenced its Development Fee Study and Bylaw Review, a comprehensive study to ensure that the revenues collected by the Development Services Department accurately depict the full costs of service delivery. On April 1, 2026, Council received a Staff Report regarding the 2026 Development Fee Study and Bylaw review and a presentation from Hemson Consulting Ltd. on the draft results of the study and bylaw review.
On April 15, 2026, the draft 2026 Development Fee Study was released for public input.
The Town will be holding a public meeting at Council Chambers on May 6, 2026 at 9 a.m. to discuss the proposed changes to the Building Permit Fees, Planning Fees and Development Engineering Fees.
