First Annual Live & Silent Art Auction*

In this first-ever event, The Georgina Centre for Arts & Culture (GCAC) will provide guests from near and far an energetic art experience! We are combining a Silent Auction that will feature fine art, photography, and design lots along with a Live Auction of 15 paintings and prints from the GCAC Permanent Collection.

The Live & Silent Art Auction is a very rare opportunity for a significant art investment and there is something for everyone!

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and you will enjoy swinging jazz by the Black River Jazz Trio and sumptuous hors d’ oeuvres as you peruse the 50 Silent Auction lots on Wall A and Wall B.

The first wall of the Silent Auction will close at 7:15 p.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m.

Next up is the Live Auction! Pull up a seat and get your paddle ready to bid on the piece that you want to add to your collection. Rob Grossi will bring the fun and has stories to share about the Permanent Collection.

Proceeds from the Live Auction go directly toward the acquisition of new work for the GCAC Permanent Collection. For a small regional gallery, the GCAC maintains a significant Permanent Collection and we are indebted to our donors for their ongoing support as we begin to fulfill our new mandate to diversify and broaden the representation of Canadian artists for you to enjoy.
