A new year brings new fun to Georgina

Happy New Year! What better way to kick off 2019 than with some fun events in the Town of Georgina.

Mayor and Council New Year’s Levee
Join us on Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon for the Mayor and Council New Year’s Levee at the ROC. Enjoy a free pancake and sausage breakfast cooked by staff from Enbridge Gas Distribution Service and served by Members of Council. There will also be free tubing, tobogganing, skiing and snowboarding from
10 a.m. to noon. The ROC does not provide rental equipment.

Festival and Event workshops
The Town of Georgina is hosting a series of workshops for Festival and Event organizers at the Link on Jan. 17 and 31. Learn how to leverage free advertising opportunities from Central Counties Tourism, Experience York Region, the Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Georgina. Determine if your festival or event is eligible for grant funding programs and how your event can reach a wider online audience through established social media networks. Link Winter Market
Don’t miss this unique shopping experience celebrating local artisans, chefs, farmers and crafters, and, there are new vendors to check out. Join us for the Link Winter Market on Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Link. There will be henna demonstrations, horse-drawn wagon rides, ice rink games and the ribbon cutting of the quilt display at noon. It’s a great Sunday outing for the whole family.

Come out for a day of winter fun at the ROC for SnoFest. It takes place Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to
3 p.m. This annual event features activities for all ages and includes inflatables, games, KidsWorld, giveaways, live performances and more. It’s a snowy event that will warm up your winter! Regular tube/lift and chalet prices apply.
