Fire and Emergency Service Fees By-law

The  Fire and Emergency Services Fees By-law 2004-0131 (FI-4)   and PDF icon Amended Fire and Emergency Services Fees By-law 2013-0037 (218.64 KB) outline what services and types of inspections the fire department can charge a fee for.  

Please note that these by-laws will be repealed and that the new PDF icon Fire and Emergency Services Fees By-law 2016-0024 will go into effect as of July 1, 2016.

Open-air Burning

The PDF icon 2016-0019 (REG-1) Regulate Open Air Burning (531.1 KB) sets out the rules for setting fires on properties in the Town of Georgina.  As of July 1, 2016 a $35 fee is in effect to obtain an Open-air Burning Permit.

Fireworks By-law

The PDF icon Fireworks By-law 2014-002 (LI-3) (7.47 MB) controls the sale and setting off of fireworks in the Town of Georgina. For a licence to sell fireworks, visit the Business Licences webpage or contact the Clerks Department. 


Fireworks: Residents are reminded that while under a declared emergency, issued by the Town on March 19, the discharge of fireworks are prohibited to reduce safety risks. 

Fire Route Application

To have your fire route designated under the terms of By-law No. 2002-0046 (TR-1) and to manage and control parking of vehicles in the Town, a  Fire Route Application Package must be completed and submitted for approval.
