Polybutylene Water Service Line Replacements

The Operations and Infrastructure Department maintains the Town of Georgina’s Keswick and Sutton Water Distribution Systems, including necessary preventative maintenance and infrastructure replacement projects.

Polybutylene water service connections installed in the 1980s have reached the end of their expected service life and are beginning to fail. These service connections need to be replaced to eliminate water leaks and reduce service disruptions. The Town has identified areas in Keswick where polybutylene water services were installed. The polybutylene services will be replaced on an annual basis.

Construction in 2023

There will be approximately 100 water service lines replaced on Hollywood Drive and Tampa Drive in the summer of 2023. The construction is anticipated to commence June 12, 2023, and be completed by mid-August 2023. Review the letter to residents below for further information.
