There's no shortage of family fun to enjoy in Georgina this August. From outdoor movies and splash-filled water play to the Field to Table event and exploring Georgina Village Museum, there's something for everyone. Pan African Flag Festival
Celebrate diversity and unity at the Georgina Pan-African Flag Festival: Unification. Join us at the ROC on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate Emancipation Day and a more inclusive Georgina. This year's theme, Unification, highlights the strength that comes from embracing diversity, fostering understanding and building connections across cultures. A flag raising will take place at the Civic Centre with festivities at the ROC Chalet.
Sean Walker Day in Georgina
Sean Walker is bringing the Stanley Cup to Georgina. The Keswick native and defenceman for the Carolina Hurricanes celebrated the Stanley Cup championship on June 14, 2026. He will bring the Stanley Cup to the Georgina Ice Palace on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This is a first-come first-served event and a photo opportunity only. Due to the large number of people expected for this event and with the limited time Sean and the Stanley Cup will be in Georgina, Sean will not be signing anything in an effort to see as many people as possible. Splash pads open daily
Beat the heat by visiting the four splash pad locations at the ROC, Const. Garrett Styles Park, Whipper Watson Park and Julia Munro Park. All are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Local beaches and parks are another great way to cool off. Remember your resident parking pass and get there early.
Starlight Cinema Nights
Join us under the stars this summer for a free movie. Starlight Cinema Nights is back with four dates at different locations throughout Georgina. Georgina’s Field to Table Event
Join us on Saturday, Aug. 15 for the award-winning annual Field to Table Event in celebration of more than 200 years of local agriculture. This is an opportunity to visit some of the area’s biggest and most diverse farms. The day includes self-guided tours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. where visitors can learn about agriculture, explore the land and sample delicious food made with fresh, locally grown products.
MURC Summer Pop-Up Market
Shop local this summer at the Multi-Use Recreation Complex (MURC). Discover unique, handmade and locally crafted goods at the MURC Summer Pop-Up Market on Aug. 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Browse a variety of vendors featuring local artisans, bakers, makers and creators while supporting small businesses in our community.
Stephen Leacock Theatre of Performing Arts
Tickets are on sale for the Stephen Leacock Theatre of Performing Arts 2026/2027 season. There is an exciting lineup of shows including Glass Tiger, the Jim Cuddy Band, Essence of the Nutcracker, comedian Brent Butt and more. Purchase tickets on TIXHUB. Summer at the ROC

Step into the past and explore life in a 19th-century village. With heritage buildings and hands-on activities, Georgina Village Museum offers a fun and educational day out for the whole family. Join us for drop-in programs (free) with admission and scavenger hunts for children all summer long – no registration needed and included with admission. Curbside Giveaway
The next Curbside Giveaway Day is Saturday, Aug. 29. Place unwanted items at the curb from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for other residents to take free of charge. Let’s keep usable items out of landfill.
