The Town offers many drop-in programs at recreation facilities throughout Georgina. Schedules, fees and details about activities and programs are listed on this page.

Schedules

Club 55 and Older Adults

Club 55 is Georgina’s older adult active programming centre - an exclusive space where adults 55 years or older can come together to relax, socialize, meet new friends and have fun! Members have access to special events, lunches, outings, programs, leagues, and more that will keep you not only physically and mentally active but also connected socially to peers and the community as a whole.

Club 55 Programs

Fitness Pass

Get active with and enjoy the flexibility of the Town of Georgina’s Fitness Pass. Fitness Pass holders with an active pass can register online for any programs currently being offered in the schedule. Purchase a Fitness Pass of 10, 20, or 30 scans, then visit our online portal to register for the program(s) of your choice. If you are a current Fitness Pass holder, you can purchase or replenish your pass as required.

(Note: Fitness passes are non-refundable and non-transferrable).

Swimming

Swimming legend

Lane swim: Access to the lap pool.
Older adult swim: For adults over 55 years. Access to the lap pool.
Parent and child swim: Access to beach pool. Children under 8 years.
Public swim: All ages have access to all pools and water slides. The Wristband policy will be in effect.
Therapy pool swim: Access to the therapy pool.
Adapted swim: All pools. No water slide. For individuals with exceptionalities.

Fitness legend

Aqua boot camp: Shallow and deep water. High intensity.
Aqua combo: Shallow and deep water. Medium intensity.
Gentle Aquafit: Shallow and deep water. Low intensity.
Aqua stretch: Therapy Pool. Low intensity.
Diaper Fit: Registered program. With baby seats provided, parents will follow an instructor’s lead to water aerobic exercises that incorporate the baby in their seat.

For those physically active adults (18+) and older adults (55+) who are looking for some exercise inside out of the weather elements. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle with them.

Tai Chi

GIP - Hall

Tai Chi is designed to foster a calm and tranquil mind. Learning to do this exercise correctly helps to build such things as balance, alignment, fine-scale motor control, rhythm of movement and the creation of movement from the body's vital center. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle with them.

Pefferlaw Lions Hall

This recreation based drop-in program is best suited for those who consider themselves intermediate or advanced in skill and those who wish to play at a more competitive level. Games are played as singles or doubles (depending on number of attendees). Players are assigned to matches using the “bucket system” to ensure equal playtime and more even teams (when possible). Some equipment available but limited. Note: This location has two courts equipped with portable pickleball nets and temporary court lines. If you are looking for a learn to play/open play program or a more leisurely pace of play, please check our drop-in schedules at the Georgina Gym and Pefferlaw Lions Hall for more beginner and open play times.

Drop-in admission fees apply to both residents and non-residents.

Club 55 and Older Adults

You must be a member to register for Club 55 programs. Membership to Club 55 is easy and affordable.

  • An annual membership for residents is $20+HST or $30+HST for non-residents. (Includes access to programs at all three locations) 2024 Memberships are on sale now and include the remainder of 2023 and all of 2024!
  • An annual membership purchased after July 1 is reduced to $10+ HST ($11.30) for the remainder of the year.
  • Club 55 Sutton Seniors only membership is $10 (no HST) (Access only to Club 55 Sutton programs; must be purchased through Club 55 Sutton Seniors)
  • Try before you buy your membership with a trial membership. Try up to three drop-in programs before purchasing a membership (regular drop-in fees apply). Contact Club 55 Keswick for more information.

Policies

Communications policy

In the event of a disruption of service, we will attempt to get this information out to you in the following ways:

  • Informed email memo to your email account provided in your ActiveNET account.
  • Informed text message to your cellular device (if a cell phone number is provided)
  • Fitness Pass webpage to be updated (when possible)
  • Disruption notice to be posted at facility location (when possible/where applicable)

Ensure all account information (i.e. email address and phone number) is up to date so we can ensure you receive the most up-to-date information regarding your fitness programs.

Refund/transfer policy

  • All membership cards are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • If your card has been lost or stolen a replacement card can be purchased for $5
  • A cardholder can designate additional punches to a friend/family member provided the cardholder attends with them at the time of the class to authorize
  • If the original cardholder is not the person presenting the pass, we reserve the right to confiscate the pass and will return it to the original cardholder

Wristband policy

Wristband Policy in affect:

  • Red Wrist Band (5 years of age or younger - 1 Guardian : 2 Children) - Must be accompanied with a guardian (16+). Must be within arms reach and directly supervised.
  • Yellow Wrist Band (6-9 years of age - 1 Guardian : 3 Children) - Must swim with a guardian who is responsible for direct supervision and must be in the water. Non-Swimmers must remain within arms reach.
  • Green Wrist Band (10+years of age) - May swim without a parent or guardian accompaniment
  • Deep End Test - All swimmers are subject to a screening before entering the deep area. Test: Swim two (2) widths of the lap pool comfortably, tread water or support their body at the surface for at least one minute.
