To attend a fitness class:

Purchase a Fitness Pass of 10, 20, or 30 visits. Visit our online registration portal, eLeisure and select the fitness class you wish to attend, if you are a a current pass holder our ActiveNET system will automatically deduct 1 class per registration from your Fitness Pass membership. Please note: all participants must pre-register for all fitness classes at the time, drop-in attendance will not be accepted. 

The following COVID-19 protocol and precedure will be implemented for each class that operates;

  • All programs will operate with one of the following formats; 1 staff and maximum of 9 participants or 2 staff and maximum of 8 participants.
  • Each participant and parent/caregiver (if applicable) must come prepared with their own face mask/covering when attending the program but will not be required to wear a face mask/covering if a physical distance of 6ft/2m can be maintained. 
  • Screening protocols for staff and participants will be conducted each day prior to the start of the class. All participants will be subject to a verbal COVID-19 Self-Assessment Screening Questionnaire that will be conducted with instructor upon arrival.
  • Participants are expected to self-assess prior to attending class and any person experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms to stay home.
  • Physical distancing of 6ft/2m will be emphasized and enforced, with the exception of staff interventions for behaviour management and issuing first aid where necessary (in which the program instructor and participant will be required to wear a face mask/covering).
  • Sanitized equipment and supplies will be available for each participant's personal use during the program.
  • Any person that does not abide by the program protocol will be asked to remove themselves from the program area and will not be allowed to regain entry to the program that day.
  • Following the program, equipment will be sanitized and single use supplies will be discarded appropriately.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available onsite during the program.
  • Washroom facilities will not be available. If washrooms are available, they will be single portable toilets and will participants should use at own risk.

Communication Policy - In the event of a disruption of service we will attempt to get this information out to you in the following ways;

  • Informed Email Memo to your account
  • Informed text message to your cellular device
  • Fitness Pass Webpage to be updated (when possible)
  • Disruption Notice to be posted at facility location (when possible)

**Please ensure your account information (i.e. email address and phone number) is up to date.

Program Refund/Transfer Policy;

  • All membership cards are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • If your card has been lost or stolen a replacement card can be purchased for $5.00
  • A person may NOT utilize another member’s card without the cardholder being present. 
  • A cardholder can designate additional punches to a friend/family member provided the cardholder is in attendance with them to authorize. 
  • If the original cardholder is not the person presenting the pass, we reserve the right to confiscate the pass and will return it to the original card holder.

Cancellation/Termination Policy:
• Programs will be monitored and in the event that a class needs to be cancelled you will br notified no later than 3:30pm the day prior to the program start date.
• Participants will be notified of a cancellation by email and text message (if possible). We ask that all contact information is accurate on their ActiveNET family account to avoid delay in notification.
• Programs cancelled by the Recreation and Culture Department will result in a full credit applied to account or transfer to another available class. Full refunds will be issued upon request by credit card or cheque and mailed to the address on the account within four to six weeks from the time of cancellation.
