While many of us have been enjoying the recent mild temperatures, it has not been conducive to making ice at the PIP (Pefferlaw Ice Pad). As a result of the warmer temperatures and with more mild days in the forecast, the PIP is now closed for the season. Next year we look forward to the addition of a roof over the ice pad which will hopefully extend the season. Thank you for your understanding.

You can still enjoy a Public Skate at the Georgina Ice Palace or Sutton Arena.

Slow Internet? We need your help to speed things up in Georgina!

Canada's telecom regulator (CRTC) recently declared that high-speed internet is now a basic service, just like a current landline. The issue in Georgina is that large pockets of land (mainly in rural areas) don't currently have access to high-speed internet. Some areas don't have access to the internet at all.

That’s why we are participating with the Regional Municipality of York on trying to access federal grant money to build more high-speed internet infrastructure throughout York Region.
