Winter is nearly here, reminding us of our shared role in keeping roads and walkways clear. Residents of the Town of Georgina are reminded that Municipal By-laws prohibit any person from:

·         Parking on any highway under the authority of the Town from November 15 through April 15 between the hours of 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.*

·         Parking over any portion of a sidewalk or footpath (year-round)

·         Parking on the boulevard section of the driveway with vehicle overhanging any portion of the roadway (year-round)

Council endorsed recommendations as set out in Service Delivery Review Progress Report (#7) Financial Policy Framework Part C – Corporate Investment Policy.

The policy will govern the management of the Corporation’s short and long term Surplus Cash, Sinking Funds, Reserves and Reserve Funds and Trust Funds. The policy will also ensure the prudent management of the corporations’ investment portfolio.

The primary objectives of the Investment Program include:

·         Adherence to statutory requirements;

·         Preservation of capital;
