Preschool Programs

The Town offers recreation, education and fitness opportunities and workshops for preschool-aged children (up to age 5) to attend. Spring programming is available to view on Activenet and add to your wishlist ahead of registration.

Check out aquatic programs for programs run at the pool. Drop-in programs are available at several facilities across Georgina. The ROC has programs for outdoor winter activities. Check out Club 55 for more 55+ programs. Check the other registered programs for all ages.

Mini Chefs Program

At least 3 but less than 6
MURC - MPR B - Kitchen 

Familiarization/Safety/Cooking in the Kitchen. This is a great creative way for children to learn about cooking. Together preschoolers and parents will follow recipes, measure ingredients and of course taste testing. Participation is with parent.

Ballet Babies - Level 1

At least 3 but less than 5
GIP - Multi-Purpose Room
Working in a creative manner to introduce basic coordination of the body through space, exploring different levels and qualities of movement. Marches, skips and gallops are introduced, using the imagination to help promote movement in a fun and creative way. Participation is without parent.

Working from the moves learned in Ballet Babies - Level 1, participants will practice and enhance on their already developed skills. Continuing to use the imagination to help promote movement in a fun and creative way. Participation is without parents.

This is a perfect 30-minute class for the young dancers in your family. This is the start of their dance journey, and we will cover the basics of Jazz/Tap and creative movement. It is a great way to introduce your little one to dance and movement through music, a structured routine and a social environment.

Hip Hop your way to the latest dance craze. These energetic, upbeat, funky dance steps will have you moving to the music in a whole new way. Grab your running shoes and get ready to bust a move. Participation is without a parent.

Adaptics - Sensory Drop-in

At least 4 but less than 14
GIP - Gym Gymnasium 
MURC - Multipurpose Room A 

Adaptics is a sensory drop-in program for school aged children (4 - 14 years old) - no music and minimal noise levels. Adapted equipment will be available for participant use. Participants must come accompanied by their own support worker (one support worker per participant.) To keep this sensory aware this adapted gym program time will be capped at 20 participants (plus support workers). Sensory corners will be available for free play.

My First Sports

Is your preschooler interested in sports, but not sure which one to try first? Try a bunch! My First Sports is a great combination of sports for preschoolers playing them for the first time. A different sport is highlighted each week, focusing on basic techniques, participation and having fun. Each class includes a warm-up, floor exercises, the sport activity of the week, stretching and a cool-down.

MURC - Gym B 

This is an instructor-led program for the active tot. Focussing on cooperative play, social interaction and organized activities with other children. Basic sport skills, games, parachute play, balls, hoops, tunnels, etc. are all part of the fun. Participation is with parent.
