Winter program and lesson registration

Are you looking for activities to keep your family active this winter? Registration for winter programs and lessons begins Dec. 3 at 8:30 a.m. Register online at georgina.ca, in person at local facilities or by phone at 905-476-4301. Early registration for ski and snowboard lessons is now open for ROC winter 2019/2020 season pass holders. 

Sutton Santa Claus Parade of Lights
On Dec. 7, Santa arrives in Sutton for the annual Santa Claus Parade of Lights. Beginning at 5 p.m. in Jackson’s Point, the parade travels down Dalton Road to High Street, then along High Street ending at the fairgrounds.

Georgina Christmas Concert

Kick off the Christmas season with an afternoon of holiday entertainment at the Georgina Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Stephen Leacock Theatre. Performances will include: Neil Chapman Band, Joe Agnello Jazz Band, the Connors Brothers, Bernadette Connors, Thea Latham, Magoo, Club 55 Ramblers and the Keswick High School and Sutton District High School Music Departments. Santa will also make an appearance.  Tickets are available now.

Link Winter Market

Back by popular demand. Get ready for the holidays with a trip to the Link Winter Market. The market features local artisans, crafters, chefs, artists, farmers and more and runs the third Sunday of every month from Dec. to March from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Link. It’s a great opportunity to shop locally and enjoy cooking demonstrations, horse-drawn carriages, live music and more.

Serena Ryder live and in concert at the Stephen Leacock Theatre on Dec. 19

Get into the Christmas spirit with six-time JUNO-award winner Serena Ryder. She brings her Christmas Kisses concert to the Stephen Leacock Theatre on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $79 plus HST. She will be performing songs from her Christmas Kisses album, which infuses her love of jazz into holiday classics that celebrate the true spirit of the season.

Festival of Lights Continues until Jan. 1

The Georgina Pioneer Village buildings and grounds will come alive with holiday lights and sounds each evening until Jan. 1, 2020 starting at 5:15 p.m.

ROC’N New Years Eve Family Bash

Ring in the New Year with family and friends at the ROC from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 31. Take part in fun family-friendly activities and enjoy entertainment including live performers. Kiddie countdown with a hot chocolate toast at 8 p.m. Admission is free. Regular prices apply for chalet menu items, tube and lift tickets.

Holiday Camps

Holiday Variety Camp – Dec 30, 31 and Jan. 2, 3

Keep your 4 to 12 year-old busy over the winter break with a variety day camp at Georgina Ice Palace.       Sign them up for one day or all four. They will enjoy crafts, gym times, sports and more. No camp on Jan. 1. On Jan. 2, camp will be at the ROC. Learn more information and to register at georgina.ca/camps.

One-Day ROC Ski and Snowboard Camp – Jan. 2, 2020 only

Do your kids love to ski and snowboard? Sign them up for a one-day ski and snowboard camp at the ROC on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020. Campers aged 6 to 12 will enjoy being outdoors skiing, snowboarding, tubing, tobogganing, playing snow games and warming up by the fire.
