The Community Services Department strives to provide Georgina residents the opportunities to enjoy physical activity, cultural initiatives, social interaction and special events. Some of these activities include fitness, sports, arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, skating, camps, theatre, special events and much more. Programs and activities are designed for all age groups and abilities and take place at a variety of locations throughout the Town. The department is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of all parks and facilities including the MURC(Multi-Use Recreation Complex), Sutton Arena, the Georgina Ice Palace and the ROC. The department is broken down into four divisions.

Georgina is very fortunate to have a number of great facility rental options for your special function, including arenas, pool, skateboard parks, splash pads, sport fields, parks, beaches, community halls, senior centres (Club 55s), Georgina Village Museum, theatre and the ROC.
Check out our recently completed Recreation Facility Needs Study, Trails and Active Transportation Master Plan and Culture Master Plan. These studies will help guide Georgina as we embark on a period of growth over the next ten years. We encourage you to check out the results of the studies on the Town’s website.
Municipal Law Enforcement Division
The Municipal Law Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcement services by the Town. Some of the most common inquiries related to property standards, parking, noise, zoning (land use), aggressive or dangerous dogs, and parks.
Service Excellence
Otherwise known as Service Georgina, is the customer service arm at the Town, responsible for a number of frontline services through various channels (in-person, online and by phone), including client queries, supporting public service requests, recreation bookings, payment processing, parking passes and internal communications for departmental emergencies.
